Subject: Literary Escapism Celebrates Black Friday’s 5th Anniversary!
My name is Jackie Morgan and I run Literary Escapism, a book review site that focuses on the paranormal and fantasy genres. I’m writing to invite you to participate in an upcoming event which will reach a large number of paranormal/fantasy book lovers and will promote all the new paranormal titles releasing from November through December.
In 2011, I started considering the shopping chaos that is typical to the season and all the “fun” the different characters in these new releases might have while doing their own holiday shopping*, especially during the day that is known as Black Friday.
From those musings came the fabulous event, BLACK FRIDAY, an event where I ask authors to write a short story about any of their characters from their new release and what would happen when they venture out into the malls, department stores, or markets to do their own holiday shopping* during this chaotic time of year.
Each day from November 27th through December 24th, I will be featuring an author (and their new release) on Literary Escapism (cross-promoting via Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and Tumblr), and I’d love to include A DAUGHTER OF NO NATION.
Please let me know if you are interested in taking part in BLACK FRIDAY along with the dates that would work best for you. If you wish to include a giveaway with your post, please let me know, or include contact info for your publicist so that I may arrange a giveaway directly with your publisher. If you are unable to commit to the event but are still interested in having your title featured on Literary Escapism, in the form of a separate giveaway** or as an exclusive excerpt**, please let me know.
This will be the fifth year I’ve done BLACK FRIDAY and you can access all previous Black Friday posts here: http://www.literaryescapism.com/black-friday. If you’re willing to participate, I am asking for all stories to be emailed to me (jackie@literaryescapism.com) by November 21st, so neither of us will have to worry about anything once the holiday season starts.
