I am a new reader approaching you’re working, but that’s not what got me to write this. I’ve been trying to write something like this to you for a bit now, and have only just gotten the balls to do it…
Okay, the reason why I’m writing this: you’ve really pushed me forward. This is probably going to sound really trite, but the fact that you’re a queer writer of SF & F really does something for me. You see, I’m a fifteen-year-old gay guy from a really conservative country. I mean, really conservative. 90% identifies as Christian, if you get what I mean. Just hearing about people like you, it fills me with hope. I’m fighting to get out of the hole I’m in, and you helped, though that might sound slightly exaggerated, take another step out.
