Hello Ms. Dellamonica:

I’m currently taking Novel Writing II at UCLA Extension and enjoying the course very much. I noticed that you are teaching the same course online next semester and I’m intrigued, as I’ve never taken an online course.

I’ve enjoyed the in-person workshop element of my current course, so I wonder how the online version compares. Specifically, I have the following three questions:

1. Can you share some of the feedback you may have received from previous students regarding the online format and how it compares to any experiences they had with in-person workshopping?

2. Are there any real-time group chat sessions?

3. Are there opportunities to speak with you live (e.g., do you have online “office hours” when students can converse with you via text or voice)?

Answers to these questions or any other guidance you can offer, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dave
